Veal Orloff

A 19th-century dish of Russian cuisine, which was created by the French chef Urbain Dubois in the employ of Prince Orloff, former Russian ambassador to France. Main ingredients are veal, mushrooms, onions, bechamel sauce and cheese. Let it brown into the oven during 45-60 minutes on 180°C. Because of the cheese, it’s a rather ‘heavy’ meal, so we only added French beans (prepared with butter, onions and garlic). Enjoy!

Chipolata and spinach dinner

Sorry that I didn’t post on my blog yesterday. It was a tough day, I’m living in Brussels. There are no words to describe what happened yesterday. I wanted to prepare a meal tonight, with the colors of the belgian flag, but didn’t have enough inspiration. So I went for spinach in cream sauce (add some nutmeg and black pepper), boiled potatoes and chipolata.
